Terms & Conditions
These terms govern all plumbing component installations, valve replacements, and advisory services provided by Richmond Brass & Valve to our clients.
Parties and Scope
This agreement is made between Richmond Brass & Valve, registered at 17 George Street, Richmond, TW9 1HY, and the client named on the service booking. We deliver mechanical water control, stopcock replacement, and plumbing component services for domestic and commercial properties within our declared Richmond service radius.
Booking and Quotes
All quotes provided by phone, email, or online form are provisional until verified by our technician on site. We inspect physical pipe access, pipe material, and water condition before confirming the fixed price. Work commences only after the client verbally or in writing approves the quoted scope of work.
Performance of the Work and Access to the Premises
The client must provide safe, unhindered access to internal isolation valves, external boundary stopboxes, and relevant plumbing fixtures. The client must ensure that domestic pets are secured and that any personal items obstructing pipe cupboards are cleared beforehand. We carry out all work according to UK Water Regulations with professional care and tidy cleanliness.
Prices, Payment After Completion and Invoices
Prices quoted are based on standard domestic installations without unexpected pipework corrosion. Payment is due in full upon completion of the physical installation and demonstration of leak-free operation. We accept payment only via cash on completion or bank transfer against invoice; card payments and payment terminals are not accepted under any circumstances.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled without cost up to 24 hours before the agreed arrival window. Where cancellation occurs with less than 24 hours notice or where our engineer is refused entry at the scheduled time, a flat attendance charge covering travel and scheduling costs may be invoiced.
Liability, Insurance and Complaints
We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance covering all mechanical installation activities. We are not liable for pre-existing pipe fatigue, brittle lead water risers, or hidden water damage behind tiled enclosures that existed prior to our visit. Any concerns or dissatisfaction must be communicated within seven days so we can inspect and rectify the issue promptly.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales in the event of any legal dispute.
