Where should a double check valve be located for an outside garden tap?
It must be installed inside the heated house, right before the pipe passes through the external brickwork, so it is protected from winter frost.
Can I use a single check valve instead?
Current UK Water Regulations require a double check valve (two independent non-return valves in one body) for garden taps and domestic filling loops.
